25 | An unannounced Annual/Random inspection was conducted by LPA Dyer. The licensees were present with 10 day care children (1 infant, 9 preschool-age) and 1 fingerprint cleared assistant. Licensees were in compliance with the licensed capacity/facility ratios. Phone number is current. Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The day care area of the home was inspected. Areas licensed for child care: bathroom, day care room, and kitchen and downstairs play/classroom. Off-limit areas will be made inaccessible to children by closed and/or locked doors; gates; and visual supervision. All required forms are posted and visible for public review. There was a working smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector (tested); a fully charged 3-A:40-B:C fire extinguisher; and a first aid kit.
The home was clean and orderly, with adequate heating and ventilation. There were safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment available to children at the time of this inspection. There were a variety of books and toys for children's use. There are no hazardous materials, medicines, or cleaning solutions accessible to children during this inspection. Hazardous items are locked in the kitchen, inaccessible to children. Licensees stated there were no firearms or bodies of water on the premises. Children nap on cots and play yards. Bedding is laundered twice a week. Back yard area is securely fenced. There is a child sized kitchen, push toys, balls, and other outdoor toys for child play. Children have not played outside recently due to the weather. Last disaster drill date logged: September 2019. At 3:40 p.m., a sample of children's files were reviewed. All have emergency information in file. Facility roster was obtained.
