25 | On 09/23/19, LPA Briana Plumboy met with Administrative Assistant Darlene Rios for an unannounced random inspection. The center and playground were toured to conduct a Health and Safety inspection. There were 29 children present during the visit. Also present for the visit was 6 fingerprint clear and associated staff. The center is currently open from 7:00am until 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
The center consists of 3 rooms. There is adequate storage for children's belongings. There is furniture, toys, learning materials, and activities. The heating and lighting is adequate. There is drinking water readily available to children. There are combined bathroom for boys and girls. All toilets flush properly, and there is running water, soap, and paper towels available for children to wash and dry their hands. There is a separate bathroom for staff. There are no bodies of water, or free standing water, accessible to children during today's inspection. The food preparation area is clean and adequately equipped during today's inspection. There is a menu posted, and there are no cleaning supplies stored with food. The center provides breakfast and am/pm snacks to children, and children's lunches are provided by their families. There are ample mats and sheets available for children's use, and they are stored properly. The bedding is stored in individual bags provided by the center. The playground has safe and age appropriate equipment. All required documents are posted for public review. The center is in compliance with the sign in and out procedure. The center uses an electronic sign in/out and has a waiver posted near the office. Disaster drills are being conducted at least once every 6 months, and the log indicates the last fire drill was was on 04/30/19. The center is equipped with a fully stocked first aid Kit, working telephone, carbon monoxide detector, pull down fire alarms and multiple fire extinguishers.
All staff have been fingerprint cleared and associated to this center. At least one opening/closing staff member has a current CPR/First Aid certificate. See 809-C for continuance |
