25 | On 02/13/2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittany Newton made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a required annual inspection. LPA was met by Director Akimasa Moore. Present for the visit was 46 preschoolers with 9 teachers. The facility was toured conduct a health and safety inspection.
The school has 3 classrooms (2’s, 3’s, and the 4’s). There are three yards. There is ample resilient material under the high climbing structure. The North yard is used by preschoolers on a scheduling basis when the school age children are not present. The children's bathroom is well equipped with soap, paper towels and toilet paper. Menus are posted and snack food was observed to be in compliance. Medications for the children are stored in a locked container in Director's office. Drinking water is available inside and outside. All equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed edges. There are ample toys and equipment for children in care. LPA reviewed staff and children files which were found in compliance. The facility has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher on site. The last fire drill was conducted 08/15/2019. LPA reminding facility to ensure they are conducting fire drills every 6 months. CPR and First Aid is current until 08/26/2021.
A copy of the personnel report and child care roster was obtained.
Licensee is reminded that ALL assistants, volunteers, frequent visitors, or adults that are 18 years of age or older must be fingerprint cleared and associated to this facility prior to being in the presence of children in care or an immediate civil penalty will be assessed from $100 to $3000 per person, per incident. Facility was reminded of the responsibility as a mandated reporter and the requirement to complete the training every 2 years.

No deficiencies observed at this visit. A Notice of Site visit was given and facility was reminded that it is required to be posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted, appeal rights provided, and a copy of this report was left with Director Akimasa Moore. |
