NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Leslie Ibo arrived at the facility for an unannounced Annual/Random Inspection and met with licensee Renee Dangler. Present for this inspection was finger print cleared assistant Kourtney Merkt, 2 infants, 2 school aged children and 5 preschool aged children. Also residing at home are the licensee’s finger print cleared children K.Luce and L.Dangler. At 9:02 AM licensee left the facility to drop off 5 children at the school. The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for day care are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. ON LIMITS: master bedroom, hallway bathroom, family room, kitchen, dining area, living room, converted garage that is use for day care, side yard OFF LIMITS: master bathroom, 2 adult bedrooms located by the hallway, patio and garage which will always be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision The home is one story which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, family room, dining area, kitchen, living room, patio, converted garage, fenced front and back yard, side yard that is use as a play area for daycare children. There were ample age appropriate toys that were observed to be safe and in good condition. Toxins, medicines, and hazardous items were inaccessible during today's inspection. Carbon monoxide and smoke detector meet State Fire Marshall standards. There is a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher that is accessible in case of emergency located at the converted garage. ***Continued on LIC809…

There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water. Licensee has a waiver for the fireplace and licensee stated it is not being used. Per licensee, there are no firearms in the home. All required licensing documents are posted and visible for public review.
At 9:35, children's files were reviewed. The facility roster was reviewed, and a copy obtained. The licensee is in ratio today. The licensee's Pediatric CPR/First Aid certificate is current with an expiration date of 1/21/2020, licensee’s assistant Kourtney Merkt has a current CPR/First Aid certificate with an expiration date of 11/6/2021. Licensee has current mandated reporter training that was done 1/9/2018, assistant K.Merkt has mandated reporter training that was completed 1/25/2018 and both of them has a proof of required immunization's. Licensee has completed disaster drill with the last drill conducted 12/6/2019, copy was obtained for documentation purposes. Safe Sleep practices were discussed, and new car seat laws were provided. Licensee was reminded that children are never to be left in a parked vehicle.
Licensee was encouraged to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and updates, and to also email childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to be included in the Child Care Quarterly Updates distribution list.

There were no deficiencies observed during today's inspection.

This report shall remain on file for 3 years. A Notice of Site visit was provided.
