32 | The last disaster drills were conducted on 10/11/22. The center is equipped with first aid supplies, a working telephone, centralized smoke detection system, and a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher. LPM observed the interaction between the staff and children in care and found it to be in compliance with the Title 22 Regulations.
At 11:10am, LPM began the review of children's files. There is a separate, complete and current file maintained for all children. The center is in ratio today, and abiding by the capacity specified on the license. The center uses an electronic application for sign in/out and is in compliance with the sign in/out procedures. All staff, as a condition of employment with the school district, have a criminal record clearance, required training, and qualifications. At least one staff member that opens and closes the center has current CPR/First Aid certificates.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was encouraged to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and updates. LPM reminded the licensee to adhere to all requirements within the regulations at all times including supervision, personal rights, unusual incident and injury reporting, and criminal record clearance. The licensee was encouraged to email ChildCareAdvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to be included in the Child Care Quarterly Updates distribution list. Licensee was reminded about the lead testing requirement to be completed and submitted by January 2023. LPM reminded the licensee that the mandated reporter training is required for all staff and is to be renewed every 2 years at www.mandatedreporterca.com. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center.

No deficiencies were cited today. An exit interview was conducted with Dr. Lottie Lynch, and the report, Notice of Site Visit and Appeal Rights were provided. Licensee was reminded that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days. |
