25 | Licensing Program Analyst Caroline Colson met with Alma Romero and her qualified assistants, Maria T. Ramirez, Miriam Monteagodo and her adult daughter Vanessa Romero-Leon for an unannounced random annual inspection at 10:30 AM. There are three (3) infants and six (6) preschool children. The home was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection. One (1) child's record was reviewed by the LPA and the licensee on 7/17/19 at 11:22 AM. C1 has complete immunization records on the California School Immunization Form. Analyst discussed the beverage law regarding 1% milk for children who are two (2) years of age and older.
The home is a two story home. The home consists of a living room, dinning room, kitchen, five bedrooms, laundry room, unfenced front yard and fenced backyard. There is a 3A40BC fire extinguisher and a combination working smoke and carbon monoxide detector. The off limit areas are the two upstairs bedrooms, upstairs bathroom, living room and unfenced front yard. There is a storage room located in the backyard which includes a bathroom. This bathroom is used when the children are playing in the backyard. Mrs. Romero states that there are no weapons in the home. Ms. Ramirez has CPR and First Aid certificates are current and expire on December 8, 2020. She will used her fenced back yard for outdoor play. The isolation area is the bedroom across from the kitchen. There is one (1) dog and two (2) lovebirds. She has current vaccinations for her dog. Drills are conducted once every six (6) months.
This facility is not providing Incidental Medical Services-IMS at this time. LPA discussed IMS services and the requirement to create a plan of operation. Specifics on the plan can be found in the family child care home evaluator manual (FCCH EM) Policy 102417.
