25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee Chen, Neth M for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. Present during this inspection was Licensee and husband supervising 4 infants and 3 preschoolers and one school age. Licensee is within capacity limits of a Large License. The home is a single-story house consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, backyard, and garage. The hours of operation are 6:00AM- 7:00PM, Monday -Friday.On-limit-areas are: Living room, dining area, Bathroom #1, bathroom #2, fenced front yard.
Off Limit areas are: 3 bedrooms, kitchen, garage, and backyard.
LPA observed the following: Daycare Area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment for children, indoors and outdoors. Home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher that meets the minimum requirements. There are no bodies of water in the Daycare area. The fireplace is barricaded. There are ample of age appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection. Licensee states there are no guns or weapons of any kind in the home. All required postings were posted during today's visit. The last fire drill was conducted on 12/12/22 and properly logged. Licensee has updated EMSA approved Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid cards both expiring on 03/12/2024. A copy of the facility roster was obtained during today's visit. All knives, sharp objects, chemicals and cleaning solutions are out of reach of children. The home has a wall heater located in the hallway that is screened and the screen is secured to the wall.
