25 | An unannounced Annual/Random inspection was conducted by LPA Dyer. The licensee was present with her fingerprint cleared husband and 14 day care children (4 infants, 7 preschoolers and 3 school-age). Hours: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. The day care area of the home was inspected and consists of living room, kitchen, play/rug area, bathroom and office. Off-limit areas will be made inaccessible to children by closed and/or locked doors; doorknob covers; gates; and visual supervision. All required forms are posted. There was a working smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector (tested); a fully charged 3-A:10-B:C fire extinguisher; and a first aid kit. There were safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment available to children at the time of this inspection. The home was clean and orderly. Phone number is current. Fireplace was screened and blocked. Bathroom was inspected. There are no hazardous materials, medicines, poisons, or cleaning solutions accessible to children during this inspection. Hazardous items are kept in locked cabinets or in the garage, inaccessible to children. Stairs are gated. Licensee stated there were no firearms or bodies of water on the premises. There were a variety of books and toys for children's use. No pets. Bedding is laundered weekly by the licensee. Back yard area is securely fenced. Licensee has swings, riding toys, slides, balls, bats and other toys for child play.
A sample of children's files (7 of 14) were reviewed. Last disaster drill date logged: 6/03/19. Facility roster was obtained.
