1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On 07/12/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Arminder Singh met with Licensees, Rosane Zenha and Jeorson Santos for an unannounced random annual inspection. LPA arrived when children were napping. There are 7 children present today. Records of three children (C1-C3) were reviewed and are complete. The home was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection. The Licensee's hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 8:00AM-5:00PM. Licensee has a working telephone in the home (510-332-9032 and 510-332-9034). The home is a one story home with a garage located in the backyard. The home consists of a kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a backyard. ON LIMIT AREAS are the living room, kitchen, bedroom #1(located near entrance of home),bedroom room#2, and bathroom #2 in hallway. The home has a garage that is converted into a classroom. OFF LIMITS area is bathroom #2 and bedroom #3 which is located towards the rear of the home. Off limit areas will be inaccessible by closed, gated and or/locked doors and visual supervision. There are ample age appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. There are no pools, hot tubs, or any other bodies of water. The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. There are two wall heaters that are properly barricaded and are in good working condition. The home does have a fireplace that is located in the living room that is not being used and is made inaccessible. Licensee states there are no firearms in the home. Licensee does not have any pets. The bedroom #3 is the isolation room. Licensee does have a fully stocked first aid kit.

The home is sanitary, safe and orderly, with central heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. LPA observed required Postings on the wall. Medicines, cleaning products, sharp objects are stored inaccessible to children in cabinets and out of reach of children. LPA reminded Licensee that smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers and similar items are not allowed in family child care homes.

The Licensee has current CPR and First Aid certification and expires on 07/18/2022. LPA has reminded Licensee to make sure the certificates are updated prior to expiration date. The Licensee conducts and documents fire and earthquake drills at least twice a year. Last drill was conducted on 03/2022. LPA reminded Licensee that the mandated reporter training certificates are to be renewed every two years.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep web page at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensees of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

There were no deficiencies in today's visit.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
