25 | On 11/4/22, a Case Management Visit was conducted for adding a toddler option by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Melissa Guirit. LPA met with Site Supervisor, Anita Lee . Present for today's inspection are 8 staff and 44 children. The center has submitted an application to add a toddler option to the preschool component. Hours of operation are from 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside. Measurements and total capacity remain the same. Toddlers will utilize the other half of the classroom on the ground floor. The changing table is within arms reach of sink. The outdoor area will be the outside deck on the right hand side and sandbox.
A fire clearance was received on 11/03/22 from the Oakland Fire Department for 60 preschoolers, ages 2 years to first grade entry with toddler option, 12 toddlers ages 18 months to 36 months.
Playground equipment is in good condition. Drinking water is available inside and outside. The facility has 8 toilets and 12 sinks for children to utilize. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. Lunch is provided by parents and facility provides snacks. Facility utilizes electronic form sign in and out.
The center is equipped with a fully stocked first aid kit, working telephone, carbon monoxide detector located in each room, a pull down fire alarm, and a 3A40BC fire extinguisher.
Director/owner was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
