Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Petersen conducted an unannounced random annual site inspection for this infant care facility at 0940. This infant care program operates upstairs at this facility in four rooms, the crib room, the napping room, the play room and the common room. There is also a preschool which operates at this facility in the lower level of the building and is separate to the infant program with no commingling of infant and preschool children. LPA met director Vicki Braxton and toured all areas of the program licensed for use by children. Also present during this inspection were 13 infant age children in care and five additional teaching staff. All staff present are qualified teachers with the required infant course work and are background cleared. The facility is within ratio and capacity. Per facility director, there are no firearms present or stored at this facility.

The classroom was inspected for cleanliness, age appropriate furnishings and equipment, and absence of broken or sharp pieces. There are five cribs present for crib age children. There were no toxins or hazardous items observed to be accessible to children. Non-crib age children have sleeping mats with individual linens for each child. There are multiple working carbon monoxide detectors and centralized fire alarm/smoke detectors. The fully fenced outdoor patio area is being used for outdoor play. There are no hazardous/broken/sharp items observed in the outdoor area. There are no pools or other accessible bodies of water present at this facility. Preschool outdoor play areas are distinctly separate to infant care program outdoor play spaces.

Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served to older infants and younger infants receive milk/formula individually per there feeding plans. Feeding bottles from home are labeled, dated and refrigerated. Individual feeding formulas are labeled. Food storage and prep areas appear free of pests.
