There is drinking water readily available for children, both indoors and outdoors. The kitchen is clean, properly equipped and LPA did not observe any cleaning supplies stored with food. There is a menu posted, which is dated at least a week in advance. LPA observed that 1% milk is served to children. LPA observed that all required forms are posted and visible for public review. LPA did not observe any bodies of water, hazardous items or toxins accessible to children today. The playground is fully fenced and free from defects or dangerous conditions. The surface, play structures, and equipment are age appropriate and appear to be in good condition. The structure is anchored, and there is sufficient cushioning underneath to absorb a fall. The center is in compliance with the sign in/out procedure. There are carbon monoxide detectors and 2A10BC fire extinguishers located throughout the center, and LPA tested one of the detectors and verified that it is working. LPA observed sprinklers and smoke alarms in each classroom. The center has a working telephone and first aid supplies in each classroom. continued on 809C |
