25 | On 07/15/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melanie Otsuji, met with licensee Minakshi Varshney for an UNANNOUNCED 1 YEAR REQUIRED INSPECTION. Also present during inspection were, 2 fingerprint cleared assistants and 12 children (3 infants, 9 preschoolers). The home was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. The facility currently operates Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 6:00pm.
The ON LIMIT AREAS are the kitchen, dining room, play room, living room, family room, Bedroom #1 and bathroom nearest the bedroom #1. The OFF LIMIT AREAS are the garage, bedroom #2, bedroom #3 and the master bedroom. The off limits areas will be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. The home has heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are toys and learning equipment. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present during today's inspection. The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher. All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of the reach of children and it was observed that there are no toxins or hazardous items accessible to children during today's inspection. Facility has a working smoke detector and working carbon monoxide detector, and working telephone. Facility last conducted a disaster drill on 04/03/2022. Per licensee, there are no firearms in the home. All REQUIRED forms are posted and visible for public review. Licensee and assistants have proof of immunizations, including TB results and mandated reporter training on file.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
