25 | On Tuesday December 19, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) M. Domantay met with Interim Director, Jill Hunter, for the purpose of an unannounced case management inspection for an application that was submitted for a change of capacity and room change. Facility is requesting to decrease preschool capacity to 84 children and increasing toddler program to 36 toddlers. Facility is also requesting to change room 9 from preschool to toddler classroom and facility is removing Room 6 from the preschool program. Facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The fire clearance was granted on 7/27/2023.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are 4 classrooms designated for the Preschool program, all measurements for Room 1, 2, 3, and 12 remain the same from previous inspection.
There are 3 classrooms designated for the Toddler program: Classroom 7, 8, and 9. LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, cubbies, and napping mats and cots. LPA observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector in the classrooms. LPA observed a manual sign-in/sign-out system.
LPA measured the new room being added to the Toddler program, Room 9. The total classroom space contains a total of 564.66 square feet, which will accommodate Applicant's request for the additional 12 toddler children. There are 1 sink available for children's use in Room 9 and a separate private restroom for the staff is located in the main office building, in the hallway. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). Children who become ill during the day will be isolated in the Director's office area and will use the staff restroom, if necessary. |
