25 | On February 1st, 2024 at approximately 10:35am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) April Wright arrived for an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection, and met with center director Gauri Mahajan. Present today were 61 toddler/preschool age children and 11 fingerprint cleared staff members present during the inspection. The facility is in ratio today. The facility was toured for a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 6:00pm.
CLASSROOMS: Center has 5 classrooms (Daisy, Lily, Orchid, Jasmine and Lavender) which have adequate play and learning materials available. Floors, furniture, and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. There is adequate heating/air conditioning, ventilation and lighting for safety and comfort. Drinking water is available inside and outside of the center. There is proper individual storage space for each child. The isolation area for sick children is in the front lobby of the administrative assistants desk, which away from other children in care. The center has working smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, working telephone, and 2 fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguishers. At least one person trained in CPR/First aid (open/closer) are present when children are at the facility. Per Director, there are no weapons or firearms present at the facility.
BATHROOMS AND DIAPER CHANGING AREAS: Staff's bathroom is separate from the children's classroom and are neat, sanitary and in good condition. Changing stations are in the toddler classroom only. Free of damage and defects. All sinks and faucets are in safe and sanitary operating condition.
FOOD SERVICE AREAS: Facility provides breakfast, lunch and snacks to children in care. There are weekly menus posted at the facility. All storage containers for solid waste have tight fitting covers that are in good repair Facility has a kitchen area for food preparation with refrigerator that is clean, sanitary and free of evidence of rodents, vermin or insects.
