25 | An unannounced Random/Annual site inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Briana Plumboy and Brittany Newton. LPAs met with Rebecca Hardesty, Executive Director and Gina Shelly, Teacher. There are 48 preschool age children present today with 6 fingerprint cleared staff. This program currently operates from: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
The center consists of 3 rooms, which are safe, clean and in good repair. There is adequate storage for children's belongings. There is adequate furniture, toys and activities, which are age appropriate and in good condition during today's inspection. The heating and lighting is adequate during today's inspection. There is drinking water readily available to children. There are combined bathrooms for boys and girls. All toilets flush properly, and there is running water, soap, and paper towels available for children to wash and dry their hands during today's inspection. There is a separate bathroom for staff. There are no bodies of water, or free standing water, accessible to children during today's inspection. Per executive director, there are no firearms on the premises of the child care center. The food preparation area is clean, free from hazards and adequately equipped. The center provides lunch ("Lunch Bunch") to children for a fee, or families may bring lunch. There is a menu posted, and there are no cleaning supplies stored with food. Trash cans have tight fitting lids. There are ample mats and sheets available for children's use, and they are stored properly. The children's bedding is stored properly. The playground has safe and age appropriate equipment during today's inspection. There are two play structures anchored to the ground. There is a picnic/lunch area and a garden area. There is a pet pig named "Hammy." All required documents are posted for public review. The center is in compliance with the sign in and out procedure. The center uses an electronic sign in/out and has a waiver in place. Disaster drills are being conducted at least once every 6 months, and the log indicates the last one done was 06/2019. The center is equipped with a fully stocked first aid Kit, working telephone, carbon monoxide detector, pull down fire alarm, and a 3A40BC fire extinguisher.
The center roster copy was obtained. A review of 1 staff files was completed. All staff have been fingerprint cleared and associated to this center. All staff have provided proof of immunization against See 809-C for continuance |
