On 08/12/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittany Newton conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a required health and safety inspection. LPA was met by director Vivi Teng. Present for the inspection was 36 preschool children. LPA toured the facility with the director.
The facility currently operates in 4 classrooms. The classrooms are separated by 2's, 3's, 4's and 5 year olds. LPA toured each classroom. Each classroom had age appropriate toys. Furnishings were observed in safe condition. The facility has pet birds in some of the classrooms that are in a cage. Bathrooms are available near each classroom and were observed with soap and paper towels available for children.
Outdoor play area was inspected and found in safe operating condition. Cushion is available to absorb a fall. Drinking water is available. LPA observed a garden area that children work on at the facility. Additionally, the children are growing grapes throughout the outdoor area. LPA interacted with children and children were happy and engaged upon observation.
Staff files and children files were reviewed and had required forms. Sign in/out was reviewed. CPR and first aid is current for staff on site, expiring 09/21/2021. LPA observed multiple 2A10BC fire extinguishers. The facility has been conducting fire drills with the last one being 07/15/2021. LPA obtained a copy of the child care roster and personnel report.

LPA provided facility with guardian information and COVID-19 flyers.
