A Case Management Visit was conducted on this date 8/9/19 by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Mayla Mendoza. LPA met with center director, Geethapriya Sadanadam. The center has applied to add a toddler-option (18 months-36 months) to their license with no increase in the number of children they are currently licensed for. The center is requesting for up to 30 toddlers in the toddler-option program. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside. The center also has a Heritage school on-site. Heritage school arrives at 3pm. The preschool program consists of 5 rooms (Tundra, Taiga, Savannah, Prairie and Rainforest). When Heritage school is present, the Heritage school will utilize Tundra, Taiga and Prairie rooms. In addition, when Heritage school is present, the preschool with a toddler component capacity will lower to 45 children between the Savannah (toddlers) and Rainforest rooms only. The Savannah (toddler-option) room is divided into 2 sides to accommodate the request for the toddler-option program. Hours of operation are from 7:30am-6:30pm, Monday through Friday. The classrooms were measured and the measurements are as follows:

INDOORS: 3097.994 square feet = 88 children
OUTDOORS: 4041.6 square feet = 54 children

First aid supplies are available in the center. Facility has a functioning carbon monoxide detector. The preschool with a toddler-option program has 8 sinks and 6 toilets available. There is also a separate staff bathroom. Heritage school has their own bathroom located in their separate building adjacent to the program. Isolation room for sick children will be the office and staff bathroom.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226.
