On 01/24/2020 at 01:15PM, Licensing Program Analyst’s (LPA’s) Manel Estoesta, Jonathan Williams and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Wynn Norona met with the Director JENNY PAI for an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. The facility was toured for health and safety inspection. Hours of operation day care is from 06:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

The facility has age appropriate furniture and napping equipment which was observed to be in good condition. The indoor and outdoor activity space for the infant program is physically separate from the preschool component (Preschool license # 013421388). Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children were inaccessible during the visit. The changing tables is within arms reach of each sinks and were observed to be sanitary and in operable condition. The floors are free of tripping hazards. The kitchen/food preparation and storage areas was observed to be clean and free. Food is protected against contamination. All storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers that are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Menus are posted and visible for parents to review. There are no pools or similar bodies of water at this facility. Outdoor activity space and playground equipment are safe and free of hazards. There is a shaded area provided for the children.

The facility is operating within its licensed capacity. The facility is within ratio today with one teacher supervising no more than 4 Infants. LPA's and LPM did not observe any child left without visual supervision during the inspection. LPA's and LPM verified both opening and closing staff have current, Mandated Reporter, CPR/First aid training. A physical census was taken of all children present and crossed referenced with the sign in and out sheets.

The director understands that prior to working or volunteering in a licensed child care facility, all individuals subject to criminal record review shall obtain a clearance or criminal record exemption.

This facility provides incidental medical services and has updated the plan of operation. Individual Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. US DOJ toll free ADA Information Line (800)514-0301 FAQ and ADA http://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm LPA discussed the requirement to create a plan of operation when needed.

A sample of children’s records were reviewed and obtained a copy of children's roster . Files reviewed contained emergency information and health assessments. Percentage of staff records were also reviewed. Fire/Disaster drill are conducted at least once every six months, last fire drill dated 12/19/2019.


The director is receiving to email from ChildCareAdvocatesProgram@dss.ca.gov to be included in the Child Care Quarterly Updates distribution list.



There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection.

Exit interview conducted with the director.

The director was provided a copy of the appeal rights.

Notice of Site visit was provided at the time of the inspection and must be posted for 30 days.
