On 06/04/19, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Briana Plumboy conducted an unannounced Random/Annual site inspection. This facility is Title V. LPA met with Teacher Josephina Andrade. There are 36 preschool age children present today with 6 fingerprint cleared staff. This program currently operates: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM with full time and part time options. This facility operates on the campus of Schilling Elementary in Rooms 136 and 137.

LPA Plumboy toured the facility and play yard for a health and safety inspection. A review of staff records indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances. The teacher/child ratio was being met. The sign in/out was reviewed and matched the physical census of the children. The classroom and play yard are in good repair. The staff have a separate bathroom which is located inside room 136. Bathrooms are clean and in working order during today's inspection. The trash cans have tight fitting lids. Meals are prepared and delivered by Kidango, Inc. There is a menu posted for the entire month. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and pm snack. The kitchen area was maintained. There is water readily available. All posting requirements are being met. Outdoor play area is fenced and the center has a waiver for shared play space with the school age children. The children in care play on the play structure located closest to the Kidango classrooms on the play yard which has sufficient cushioning during the inspection. The play structure utilized for children in care is designed for children ages 2 to 12 years old. The children may not play on the equipment outside at the same time as the school age children, and they may not comingle at any time. Medications are dispensed at this facility. The center has (2) fully charged fire extinguishers, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, working telephone, and fully stocked First Aid Kit. At least one staff has current CPR and first aid training. All staff have completed the mandated reporting training and have current immunization's. The licensee conducts and documents fire and disaster drills twice a year with the last one conducted on 04/30/19.
