On 11/19/19, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Briana Plumboy and Elimika Woods arrived for an unannounced Annual/Random inspection, and met with Director Daisy Amezcua. There were 40 preschool age children and 6 staff members present during the inspection. The facility was toured for a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation are 6:30am to 6:30pm. There is an infant component associated with this facility #013422021.

There were no hazardous items accessible to children in care during today's inspection. The toilets and sinks were in operable condition during today's inspection and there was running water, soap and paper towels available for children's usage. The floors were clean during the inspection, and LPAs witnessed the teachers cleaning the classrooms during today's inspection. The kitchen/food preparation and storage areas are clean, and food is protected against contamination. Per Director, she takes measure to keep the facility clear of insects and rodents. All storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers that are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Menus are posted and visible for parents to review. There are ample mats and sheets available for children's use, and they are stored properly. The center is in compliance with the sign in and out procedure. There are no pools or similar bodies of water present at the facility during today's inspection. Outdoor activity space and playground equipment has adequate cushioning underneath which can absorb a fall. Climbing equipment is properly anchored to the ground. There is a shaded area provided for the children. The center is equipped with a fully stocked first aid Kit, working telephone, carbon monoxide detector, pull down fire alarm and fire extinguishers which meet regulations. Fire/Disaster Drills are conducted at monthy, and a review of the log shows the last drill was conducted 11/01/19. Required licensing documents were posted. The facility is operating within its licensed capacity. The facility is within ratio today with one teacher supervising no more than 12 children. LPAs did not observe any child left without visual supervision or unattended during the inspection. LPAs verified opening and closing staff have current Continued on LIC809C.....

CPR/First aid training. Staff have required immunization's and mandated reporter training.
7 children’s and 3 staff files were reviewed during today's inspection. All files reviewed have all required licensing documents. Teachers present today meet the qualification requirements.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Per director, there are no children currently enrolled who require IMS at this time

Director is reminded that ALL Staff must be fingerprint cleared prior to being in the presence of children in care, or an immediate civil penalty will be assessed from $100 to $3000 per person, per incident.

There are no deficiencies cited. This report shall remain on file for 3 years. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted.
