32 | LPA observed three doors were open to provide fresh air for safety of the children during this time of the covid pandemic. No windows were open, only the doors.
Licensee was following guidance provided by CDSS, Alameda County Public Health Department and the CDC regarding keeping fresh air available during the covid pandemic.
LPA suggested that the children wear a lightweight sweater or jacket if the temperature ever fell below 68.0 degrees.
LPA instructed the licensee to set the thermostat at a higher level to counteract the doors being open. LPA also suggested the licensee notify all parents in writing of their attempts to keep the children safe and healthy by keeping the doors open during the day. They need to provide lightweight sweaters or jackets for the children to wear in case they ever needed them.
Since the licensee was properly following guidance provided by authorities to keep fresh air in the facility, and the air temperature was only slightly below the 68.0 degree minimum, no citation was issued today.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
Exit Interview was conducted at 3:52pm, appeal rights was issued and a Notice of Site Visit was posted.
LPA left the facility at 4:05PM |
