LPA's conducted a health & safety inspection of the facility. There are no bodies of water accessible to children in care. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items which could pose a hazard to children in care are kept inaccessible. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All storage areas are made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. The facility has an individual sleep log documented and updated at least every three months. The facility allows for parents to maintain their own child's food and is updated as often as the parent needs. Playground equipment is in good condition. A yard waiver is already in place allowing no more than 35 children at a time on the play yard.
A review of staff records indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Each staff file reviewed is complete and meets licensing requirements. Each child's file reviewed is complete and contains a medical assessment. All licensing required documents are posted.
