On July 15th, 2022 at 2:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) April Wright arrived for an Unannounced Required-1 Year inspection, and met with Facility Representative Ria Das. Director Sheena Dhillon was also present during today's inspection. There were sixteen (16) children ( 9 infants and 7 toddlers) and six (6) fingerprint cleared staff members present during the inspection. The facility is in ratio today. The facility was toured for a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm.

CLASSROOMS: The infant center is clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Two 2 classrooms were inspected (Infant and Toddler).There are adequate play and learning materials available. The floors, furniture, and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. There is adequate heating/air conditioning, ventilation, and lighting. for safety and comfort. The facility has age-appropriate furniture including, cribs, cots and changing tables. There is proper individual. storage space for each child. The isolation area for sick infants/toddlers is the lobby away from other children in care. The center has smoke detectors, working telephone, and four (4) fully charged 2A10BC and 3A40BC fire extinguishers. The center is equipped with 2 fully stocked first aid kits that is available in both classrooms. The staff's bathroom is separate from the infant/toddler rooms bathroom and is clean and in good condition. . Supplies are available to the infant/toddler and staff when needed. .

FOOD SERVICE AREAS: This facility does not provide food services to children in care. All food items are brought form infants/toddler homes. All bottles, infant/toddler food is labeled with child's name and stored properly and refrigerated if needed. There is a staff area that is neat and clean and inaccessible to children. All containers for solid waste and diapers have tight fitting covers that are in good repair. Drinking water is available inside and outside of the center.

RECORDS: All individuals subject to criminal record review have a clearance or exemption and have been associated to the facility. Ten (10) infant/toddler files and six (6) staff files were reviewed. The facility has individual sleep logs for all infants/toddlers that are documented and updated. All staff files have required health screening and Employee Rights and all children files contain Identification & Emergency, Personal Rights, and Medical Consent forms. LPA reviewed the facility roster and obtained a copy. First Aid/CPR, Mandated Reporter Training certificates were reviewed. The center is in compliance with the sign in and out procedure via Brightwheel. Openers and closers have current CPR/First Aid; at least one person trained in CPR/Pediatric First Aid is present when children are at the facility Disaster drills are being conducted monthly and the last one conducted was on 6/13/2022. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with facility representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed facility representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

There were no deficiencies sited today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
