25 | On 5/11/2022 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jaylena Miller and April Wright, met with licensee Janani Krishnakumaar for an UNANNOUNCED ANNUAL REQUIRED INSPECTION. Present for the inspection were 2 staff members and 12 preschool children, and the licensee is within ratio today. LPA provided licensee a copy of form LIC 126 via email prior to the visit. The home was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. The facility currently operates Monday-Friday 8:30am-6:00pm
The home is a two-story home with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, living room, family room, kitchen, dining room, converted garage and back yard. LPAs observed the home to be neat and clean with central heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Children and parent(s) enter through the side gate by the garage which leads to the side entrance door to the preschool.
The OFF-LIMIT AREAS are the entire second floor which consist of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the 4th bedroom that is located on the first floor through a door in the living room adjacent to the garage door, the family room, dining room and kitchen, and will be inaccessible to children by locked doors, safety gates and visual supervision.
The ON-LIMIT AREAS are the converted garage, the living room and the bathroom located in the hallway next to the living room. The designated isolation area will be the couch in the living room. The backyard will be a designated outdoor play area that is fully fenced. The outdoor area has age appropriate toys and furnishings that LPAs observed to be clean and free from defects and dangerous conditions.
All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of reach from children and are not accessible. The home has a fully charged fire extinguisher 3A-40-BC, working smoke/carbon monoxide combo detector, telephone and fully stocked first aid kit. There are no pools, hot tubes or any other bodies of water present at the time of the inspection. Per licensee, there are no firearms on the premises.
