25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee Jagdeep Gupta for the Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the Inspection and was granted entry into the Facility by the staff. Present during this Inspection was the Licensee and helper, supervising three infants and nine preschoolers. The Licensee lives in the house with her husband and two minor children. The home is two-story with four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a living room, a family room, a kitchen, a dining room, a garage with a laundry room, and a backyard. The hours of operation are 8:30 AM- 5:30 PM, Monday -Friday. The Facility has liability insurance through Markel company.
ON-LIMIT AREAS are the entire first floor, which consists of the family room with half bathroom used for daycare children, living room, kitchen, dining room, and backyard.
OFF-LIMIT AREAS are the entire second floor and the garage. All off-limits areas are made inaccessible to children by locked doors, safety gates, and visual supervision.
LPA inspected the house for health and safety hazards. The daycare Area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age-appropriate toys and equipment for children, indoors and outdoors. The home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher that meets the minimum requirements. There are no bodies of water or Fireplaces in the Daycare area. A child safety gate is located at the bottom of the stairs to prevent access to the stairs and upper levels for children in care. There are child-size tables and chairs for snacks and activities. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s Inspection. The Facility has a good-condition cot, and each child has separate blankets. The Licensee has valid CPR. The Licensee provides daily snacks and meals. Discipline policy is redirection. The provider is reminded that NO walkers, exersaucers, jumpers, bouncers, or any similar items are to be used for children in care and shall be made inaccessible. Smoking is prohibited in family childcare homes. All required postings are properly posted. The Licensee has a complete record of 15-minute sleep checks.
