25 | On 12/11/19, LPA Briana Plumboy met with Director Deepa Tarunkumar for an unannounced random inspection. The center and playground were toured to conduct a Health and Safety inspection. There were 23 preschool age children present during the visit. Also present for the visit was 5 fingerprint clear and associated staff A.Akhter, S.Kodiyan, S.Gupta, M.Bahram, and G.Suarez Prado. The center currently operates from 8:00am until 6:00pm.
The center consists of two room. The center currently possesses two waivers. One waiver is for the electronic sign in/out system utilized by the center, and the second waiver is for the facility's playground and the amount of children allocated on the playground at one time. There are cubbies for children's belongings. There is adequate furniture, toys and activities, which are in good condition today. The heating and lighting is adequate. There is drinking water and cups readily available to children during today's inspection. There are combined bathrooms for boys and girls. All toilets flush properly, and there is running water, soap, and hand dryers available for children to wash and dry their hands. There is a separate bathroom for staff which is located off the left of the main entrance to to center. There are no bodies of water, or free standing water, accessible to children. Per Director, there are no firearms on the premises of the child care center. The food preparation area is clean. There is a full kitchen located inside classroom #2, and there is a barricade to prevent access from children in care. The am/pm snack and lunches are brought from home. The center has an outside vendor who delivers food daily, and families are able to purchase food for their children. There is a menu posted, and there are no cleaning supplies stored with food during today's inspection. The center has emergency snacks available for children in care. There are ample mats and sheets available for children's use. The playground is fenced and has cushioned material and cement as a surface. There are anchored play structures present during today's inspection. All required documents are posted for public review. The center is in compliance with the sign in and out procedure. Disaster drills are being conducted at least once every 6 months, and the log indicates the See 809-C for continuance |
