25 | An unannounced Annual/Random inspection was conducted by LPA Dyer. The licensee was present with 10 day care children (4 infants, 6 preschool-age) and 2 fingerprint cleared assistant. Licensee was in compliance with the licensed capacity and facility ratios. Phone number is current. Hours: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm. The day care area of the home was inspected. Areas licensed for child care: living room, dining room, cubby room, bedroom, kitchen, kitchen nook and 2 bathrooms. Off-limit areas will be made inaccessible to children by closed and/or locked doors; gates; and visual supervision. All required forms are posted and visible for public review. There was a working smoke detector (tested); a fully charged 2-A:10-B:C fire extinguisher; a first aid kit, and a carbon monoxide detector. The home was clean and orderly, with adequate ventilation. There were safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment available to children at the time of this inspection. There were a variety of books and toys for children's use. Fireplace was gated. There are no hazardous materials, medicines, or cleaning solutions accessible to children during this inspection. Hazardous items are kept locked under the kitchen sink, inaccessible to children. Licensee stated there were no firearms or bodies of water on the premises. Last disaster drill date logged: May 2019. At 12:07 pm a sample of files for children present today were reviewed. Facility roster was obtained.
Back yard area is securely fenced. Licensee has balls, a child sized kitchen, riding toys, a slide and other toys for outdoor play. There is faux grass on the outside play area.
