25 | On 3/12/20 at 11:00 AM, a required one year inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Sandy Husband. A review of staff records on 3/12/20 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. There are currently 2 adults living in the home.
At 11:30 AM the home was toured inside at outside. The licensee and assistant were supervising 8 children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. No children were observed left in any parked vehicle. The facility’s operating hours are 9AM to 1 PM, Tues/Wed/Thurs. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and updated because an off-limits garage was added to the home. The off-limits areas of the home are the bedrooms and garage and were made inaccessible by door knob covers and a lock. The home is clean, orderly and comfortable. There is a working telephone in the home. The licensee has current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, which expire on 4/15/21. Items which could pose a danger to children (such as detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, etc.) are stored out of the reach of children. Poisons are locked in the garage. The wood stove has a waiver on file and is non-operational during daycare hours. There is a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and charged fire extinguisher, rated at least 2A10BC, in the home. The licensee has a current roster of children in care.
