32 | Interviews conducted on 6/6/2023, with Parent 1, Parent 3, and Parent 4 between 6:15pm – 6:46pm stated they have no knowledge of any child being sent home for behavioral issues. An interview conducted on 6/6/2023, with Parent 2 between 5:54pm – 6:12pm admitted her child was sent home due to behavioral issues.
Interviews conducted on 3/27/2023, with Staff 1, Staff 2, and Staff 3 between 9:19am – 10:33am stated all children in care are treated fairly and denied that any one child is singled out and sent home for behavioral issues. Staff stated that any child who becomes an immediate risk to themselves, other children, or teachers may result in the child being sent home.
Parent 1, Parent 2, Parent 3, and Parent 4 denied having knowledge of any child being forced to nap. Staff 1, Staff 2, and Staff 3 denied any child in care being forced to nap. Staff 1 – Staff 3 stated children who remain awake during nap time are given the opportunity to read a book while on their mat or work on a quiet activity while sitting at a table.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, appeal rights were provided, and a Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
