25 | A Plan of Correction visit was made by Licensing Program Analyst, Wisehart who met with Assist Director, Sonia Zepeda. The LPA's visit was to review citations issued on 12/2/21.
The LPA observed that the facility did the required personal rights video training and they also provided a written plan that staff will be rubbing children's backs at nap time. The also indicated staff will not restraining children during behaviors. Therefore, the LPA has cleared the following case management citations issued on 12/2/21 :
101223(a)(7) Personal Rights - Not to be placed in any restraining device
101216(a) Personnel Requirements - Childcare center personnel shall be competent to provide the services necessary to meet the individual needs of children in care and shall at all times be employed in numbers sufficient to meet those needs.
The LPA observed that the facility did the required personal rights video training and they also provided a written plan that withholding meals or forcing naps will not be done when a child has a behavior; the director also provided a statement that commingling of ages beyond the capacity of the license will not occur. The plan also includes positive ways to deal with behaviors and methods being used for time out which does not include restraining children in highchairs, nor squirting them with water; and that staff will speak appropriately to children in care . Therefore, the LPA has cleared the following complaint citations issued on 12/2/21 :
101223(a)(3) Personal Rights -To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature including but not limited to: interference with functions of daily living including eating, sleeping or toileting; or withholding of shelter, clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning.
101223(a)(7) Personal Rights - A licensee shall not operate a childcare center beyond the conditions and limitations specified on the license, including the capacity limitation.
101161(a) Limitations on Capacity - A licensee shall not operate a childcare center beyond the conditions and limitations specified on the license, including the capacity limitation.
No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit. |
