25 | A Case Management visit was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst, Wisehart who met with licensee Ronda Gambone to conduct a follow up visit as a part of the facilities non-compliance plan established on 10/28/21.
The LPA toured the facility (Bears; Owls; Bees classrooms) and conducted interviews. The LPA observed all staff wearing masks; 17 children were observed wearing masks; some were eating breakfast so masks were not required at meal time, though masks were provided on the walls near each child with names on them. The LPA also observed a healthy supply of PPE equipment available on site. Staff also were observed to encourage mask wearing. The LPA observed and obtained current staff schedule; daily break schedule and training requirement form which supports napping coverage and personal rights ongoing training.
The licensee has conducted personal rights training and nap time policies training on 9/24/21 which was signed by 9 staff. The licensee will also require new hires to watch the Children's Personal Rights video and sign a statement upon completion and answer scenario questions. The licensee also adjusted staff scheduling so no staff leave for breaks and/or lunch until children are settled into naps. Extras staff are also scheduled for the 12 pm - 2 pm hours. The facility is providing a non-napping room for awake and/or restless children.
The licensee agrees to follow title 22 regulations and keep within ratios, including during nap time and to ensure staff that properly handle children with dignity in all interactions. The LPA observed the classrooms were within ratio's during today's tour.
No Title 22 deficiencies were cited during today's visit. An exit interview was conducted and Appeal Rights were issued. A Notice of Site Visit will be posted for 30 days. |
