25 | A plan of correction inspection was conducted today on 10/5/21 at 9:35 am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Wisehart. Today's visit was conducted to verify the plan of correction for Type A citation that was issued on 9/29/21. The previous citation was issued for children not wearing a face covering as required and licensee was not enforcing the mask mandate from the State of California.
During today's visit LPA Wisehart toured facility and observed in 3 classrooms a total of 39 children. LPA observed that classroom #113 had 10 children involved in outdoor play (masks not required during outdoor play) though LPA verified each child's cubby had their mask available for when they come back inside. The LPA observed 12 children in class room #111 was doing indoor play and had masks and there were 17 children in classroom #108 was having snack time (masks not required). LPA went back at 9:50 am and observed all children after snack time were wearing masks at circle time. LPA Wisehart met with licensee/director Joan Schreiner who indicated she sent a notice home to families on 9/30/21 asking families to wear and provide masks before coming into the building. The facility is providing masks to those who need it and shields are available if required. Facility has one medical and 2 religious exemptions in file and/or process. Staff encourage children to wear masks as needed. The licensee understands that masks are required during indoor settings for those 2 years of age or older, with the exception of nap time, meals, and outdoor play regardless of vaccination status, unless a medical or religious exemption is on file.
The LPA has cleared the Personal Rights 101223(a)2) as the facility is following the face covering requirements and did the proper notifications.
