25 | On 5/26/2022 at 8:30am, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Kirk Marks. Operating hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday–Friday. The facility was toured at 8:55 inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. Five staff members were supervising 13 children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises. The outdoor activity space was cushioned with rubberized padding and free of hazards.
The Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with the Director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed the Director of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Tamara Wanink.
The inspection was not able to be completed on this date as staff records have been misplaced at the facility. The inspection will be continued at a later date to be determined.
