25 | On 3/14/22, the Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Wisehart met with Director Lyta Vue and Carson Pezzetti to conduct a Plan of Correction Visit. The LPA toured the facility and observed it to be clean and orderly. The visit was to clear the following citations that were issued on 3/11/22:
Personal Rights 101223(a)(2) - Each child is accorded with safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. The facility had a COVID-19 outbreak with sick staff and inconsistent mask wearing. The licensee trained staff on the sick leave policy and CDPH and Cal/OSHA mask requirements and the licensee indicated she schedules above ratio requirements allowing for staff schedule changes such as staff going home sick early.
Buildings and Grounds 101238 - The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. The facility has had multiple sickness outbreaks over the past few months and therefore the LPA requested a deep cleaning of the facility. The licensee had the facility cleaned on 3/13/22. The LPA toured the facility; met with the staff who cleaned and was given a tour and description of what was cleaned. The facility showed the LPA the weekend cleaning check list which is in development and will be provided along with a daily check list . Staff were reminded of the importance of frequently wiping down toys and commonly used items.
Therefore, the Personal Rights citation was cleared by this visit. The buildings and grounds citation will be cleared once finalized check lists are received by 3/16/22.
The LPA printed and reviewed the Governor’s Updated Health Guidance Published 2/28/22 and reviewed that though the mask guidance was lifted on 3/11/22 at 11:59 pm, masks are still encouraged and that local jurisdictions may have additional requirements beyond the state guidance. The LPA also printed and reviewed PIN 22-10 (3/9/22) Updated Guidance for Child Care Providers Regarding Coronavirus Disease.Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit.
No Title 22 deficiencies were cited during today's visit. |
