25 | A pre-licensing inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chris Krogstad, in response to an application received on 7/16/19, requesting a preschool license for 30 children. LPA Krogstad met with Director Heather Lingemann.
Operating hours will be Mon-Fri, 7am-6pm, year round. The approved fire clearance for the requested capacity of 30 was received on 8/7/19. The facility is compromised of two separate buildings, labeled Suite 1 and 2. The two buildings were toured, inspected and measured for space. Suite 1 measured sufficient for 13 children. There is one toilet and two sinks available for children's use in Suite 1. Suite 2 measured sufficient for 18 children. Suite 2 has one toilet and one sink available for children's use. The staff restroom and isolation restroom is in Suite 2. The total usable indoor space is sufficient for 32 children, however, there are only two total toilets available. There are changing tables in both children's restrooms that meet Title 22 requirements. Poisons are locked in the Suite 2 laundry room. There is a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector system and fire extinguishers in both buildings. Items that could pose a danger to children (cleaning compounds, medication, etc) will be inaccessible. The director understands that if the center provides meals or snacks, a menu shall be posted at least one week in advance. There were no hazards observed in the classrooms. The director stated no firearms or ammunition will be stored on site and none were observed. The attached front fully fenced play yard measured sufficient for 37 children. There is wood chip cushioning under climbing structures to absorb falls. There were no hazards or bodies of water observed on or adjacent to the property. There is sufficient age appropriate toys, equipment and nap pads for the requested capacity. Nap pad meet minimum thickness requirements. See LIC 809C for further. |
