25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justin Denton met with Director Connie McCamey for an unannounced Case Management Inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed 22 children, supervised by five staff members.
The licensee has requested to increase her current preschool capacity to 24 and remove a toddler component for six toddlers from the preschool license. The total capacity will remain at 24. The facility is using a room that was previously designated as a toddler option classroom. The room was measured in 2019 to have 281.05 square feet of active space, which will accommodate the requested capacity of eight preschool children. Director McCamey stated that the room layout has not changed since since the toddler option was implemented on 5/22/19.
The facility will continue to utilize the changing table in the staff bathroom for diapering needs of children as necessary.
LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment, as well as sufficient napping mats. Cubbies are available for storage.
As of Wednesday, March 4th, the director’s request to remove the toddler component from the preschool license for six toddlers is approved.
LPA did not observe any violations of Title 22 Regulations during today’s inspection.
This report was reviewed with the license. LPA provided a Notice of Site Visit, which must remain posted for 30 days. |
