25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Redmond, arrived at the facility on 01/29/2020 at 8:25 AM, to conduct a health and safety inspection. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the facility is in compliance with Title 22, CCR and Health and Safety Code statutes, laws and regulations for Child Care Centers. During the inspection, LPA met with Estrada, Mayra, Director, regarding the inspection. LPA made the following observations during the visit:
Capacity/Staffing: The facility capacity is for 144 children. On this date, there twenty-four (24) children in care and four (4) teachers, including the director. The facility is in compliance with capacity limitations, child ratios and staffing levels.
LPA inspected all areas of the facility accessible to children. During the inspection the LPA made the following observations:
Required Postings: At the entrance to the facility are the required postings: Facility License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Notification of Parent's Rights, Earthquake Preparedness Checklist and If You See Something, Say Something.
Sign in: LPA verified that parents use a daily sign in sheet to sign in their children.
Classroom: Furniture and equipment age appropriate and in good repair. Adequate heating, lighting and ventilation. There is separate storage for children’s belongings. There are cots available to each child. Some bedding is taken home and some bedding is laundered by parents, each week. The children bring their food from home. Snacks are served at the center.
