25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Petersen conducted an unannounced random annual site inspection for this facility on 06/25/19 at 0920. LPA met with the facility's new site supervisor, Noel White, and toured all areas utilized by children in care. Also present at the time of LPA's arrival were 15 preschool age children in care and one additional qualified teacher. An additional teaching staff, an aide, arrived while LPA was conducting the inspection. The facility was within ratio and capacity. All staff present are background cleared. LPA inspected the preschool classrooms, the twos classrooms, the food prep/storage area and the children's bathrooms. Per the site supervisor, there are no firearms present or stored on the premises. Classroom furniture is age appropriate and free of broken/sharp pieces. Surfaces including counter tops, tabletops and floors are free of toxins. Hazardous items/toxins are stored inaccessible to children in care. The facility has a working carbon monoxide detector, centralized fire alarm/smoke detectors and fully charged fire extinguishers. Children have storage cubbies for their personal belongings. Furnishings, equipment and play items are age appropriate and free of broken/sharp pieces. Sleeping cots are identified per individual child use with linens washed at least weekly. Indoor and outdoor drinking water is available with water jugs and cups. The outside play area is fully fenced with age appropriate equipment which is free of broken/sharp pieces. The climbing equipment/slide is securely anchored with cushioning under and around the equipment. There are no pools or other accessible bodies of water present. This facility serves breakfast, lunch and snacks. Meals are catered from an outside provider and prepped on site by facility staff. There are menus posted and available for review. All required postings are present. Food storage and prep areas were inspected and appear clean and free of pests. Staff certification in CPR and First Aid is current and valid for at least one staff member present today. Agency Director, Tanya Dean, arrived while LPA was present at the facility and assisted LPA with records review. Facility, staff and children's files were reviewed including staff qualifications, background clearances, and immunization records and children's admissions agreements, emergency ID forms, and parents' rights forms.
