25 | On July 7, 2023 at 9:36am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Indira Loza arrived and met with the Licensee for the purpose of conducting an unannounced 1-year annual inspection. Present for today’s inspection were the Licensee, one infant, four preschool age children, one school-age child, and two fingerprint cleared assistants. The facility is in ratio today. Hours of operation are Monday - Sunday 24 hours per day.
The facility is a two story home, the upper level consists of a bedroom and a bathroom. The lower floor consists of four bedrooms; two bathrooms; living room; large family room; kitchen; large backyard; and side yard.
ON LIMIT AREAS: Bathroom next to the family room; family room; the lower bedroom next to the stairs, the entire backyard, and side yard on the right of the house.
OFF LIMIT AREAS: The bedroom and bathroom on the upper level, three bedrooms on the lower level, the bathroom connected to a bedroom, kitchen, and the living room. The off-limit areas will be inaccessible by child gates, closed and/or locked doors and adult supervision.
ISOLATION AREA is in the bedroom on the lower level next to the stairs.
The home has heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The home has a fully charged 3A10BC fire extinguisher next to the family room. There was a working combined smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector, and a working telephone. Fire drills are conducted at least once every 6 months, the last drill was completed in March 23, 2023. Licensee has ample age-appropriate toys and learning materials inside and outside the home. Toxins, medicines, and hazardous items were inaccessible during today's inspection. The Licensee utilizes her backyard for outdoor play. LPA reviewed children's and staff files which were found to be complete. The facility roster was reviewed, and a copy obtained. The Licensee had a current Mandated Reporter certificate which expires January 31, 2025 and CPR expires January 30, 2025.
