25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Petersen conducted an unannounced random annual site inspection for this facility on 06/06/19 at 1205. At arrival LPA met licensee's wife, Aom Brodsley, and assistant, Andrea Abrams, who were present with 13 preschool age children in the outdoor patio area of the facility. The facility is out of ratio/capacity by one preschool age child. Licensee, Aaron Brodsley, arrived within approximately five minutes of LPA's arrival and assisted LPA with a tour of all areas of the facility on limits for children in care. The areas on limits for children in care are the main daycare room, dining area, the bathroom and one bedroom. The remainder of the residence is off limits to children and made inaccessible by closed doors or child safety gating. Per licensee, there are no firearms present or stored on the premises. There are no toxins or other hazardous items observed to be accessible to children in care. The facility is kept clean and organized with available heating and ventilation, including fans, for temperature management. Children are appropriately supervised. There are age appropriate furnishings, equipment and play items which are free of broken/sharp pieces. The facility has a fully charged fire extinguisher, working carbon monoxide detector and working smoke detectors. The fully fenced outdoor patio and play area are available to children in care. There are multiple climbing equipment structures, slides and swings which are all securely anchored. Licensee is reminded to frequently inspect and maintain all wooden structures to prevent splinters/injury to children in care. There are no pools, hot tubs or other accessible bodies of water. Licensee's wife and assistant have current CPR/First Aid which expires 10/19. LPA reviewed the Facility Personnel Report Summary with licensee and verified that all adults requiring background clearances are cleared and associated to this facility. A review of the facility, staff and children's records was conducted including children's emergency ID forms, parent's rights forms, and immunization records. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual-Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Sections 102417. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information was provided:
