25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Redmond, arrived at the facility on 02/14/20 at 9:45 AM to conduct a health and safety inspection. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the Child Care Center facility is in compliance with Title 22, CCR and Health and Safety Code Statutes. During the inspection, JENNIFER KIRBY, SITE SUPERVISOR AND AVERYL DEVARA, ASSISTANT SITE SUPERVISOR. During the inspection, LPA made the following observations:
Combination License: The Child Care Center is combination center with a dual license with an infant and toddler combination. This license is for infants and toddlers. Infant and toddler rooms are 7A, 7B, 7C. LPA verified that the teacher to infant and toddler ratios meet regulation requirements. Supervisors are aware of upcoming Safe Sleep Requirements, which, was discussed during this visit. Physical Plant: The infant care center is equipped with appropriate furniture and equipment including, but not limited to, cribs, cots or mats; changing tables; and feeding chairs. Infant bedding is laundered by the facility, daily or more frequently as needed.
Emergency Preparedness/Safety: LPA observed smoke, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers. Equipment is charged by a professional company on 01/07/20. First aid supplies available. Emergency Disaster Plan is dated, 09/23/19 and is current, per Site Supervisor. Fire and earthquake drills were last conducted on 02/13/20 and meet six (6) month requirement. The facility utilizes a land line. The facility is not currently providing Individual Medical Services (IMS) for any of the infants in care. However, there is an IMS Plan on file and Site Supervisors are aware of IMS requirements. |
