25 | 10:00am Licensing Program Analysts Tasha Alexander met with licensee Linda Francois for an unannounced ANNUAL/REQUIRED inspection. Present for the inspection were licensee, her husband and 1 preschool age child in care. During today's inspection, licensee had to leave briefly to pick up 2 additional children from school. LPA toured the facility and backyard for a health and safety inspection. The children's files were reviewed and were found to be complete. The home is equipped with a 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke alarm and working carbon monoxide detector. There is a working telephone in the home, no change. There are no firearms located on the premises per licensee. There are no swimming pools or other bodies of water. All poisons, cleaning solutions and medications are inaccessible to children. Licensee has current CPR and 1st Aid training which expired 2/1/2024 respectively. The off limits area is the master bedroom/bath. Licensee was also informed of the licensing web address (www.ccld.ca.gov) for downloading child care forms and (www.myccl.com) to register to receive child care updates.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A review of staff records on 3/17/22 indicates that all facility staff or other individual who required caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
