25 | On 10/4/2022 at 10:20am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Morgan Pringle met with Director Jacque Kirk, for an Unannounced Annual Inspection. During the inspection there were ten (10 school age children and one (1) staff member present. Four classrooms, rooms 202, 203, 204 and the dining hall, were toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates from 7:30am – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday. The facility is dual licensed and holds an infant and preschool license.
The facility has ample age appropriate materials in the classrooms that were observed to be clean and in good condition. All toxins, medications, cleaning products, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. There are carbon monoxide and smoke detectors on site and a fully charged fire extinguisher on site as well. The outside play yard is fully fenced, clean, and free from hazards with shade for the children. LPA did not observe any harmful or unattended bodies of water in or around the facility.
The facility is operating within its licensed capacity and is in ratio. All proper postings are made visible in the office of the facility. The facility transports children from four (4) different local elementary schools using three (3) eleven passenger vans. All three vans are properly insured, registered, clean and well maintained. All staff operating the vans have a valid driver’s license. All food provided by the facility is properly stored and labeled in the staff lounge. All food preparation areas are clean and free from all hazards. The fire/disaster drill log was is complete with the last drill logged on 5/17/2022. LPA obtained the sign in/out sheets for all classrooms. All children were properly signed in by the staff member. All staff have obtained a criminal record clearance. LPA obtained the facilities files, children’s files and staff files. All files were complete.
