25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced case management inspection in response to lead testing results. LPA met with Director Carrie Murphy. There were 81 children and 13 staff. Community Care Licensing (CCL) received the results of the required water testing for lead. There was one water source that was identified as exceeding the acceptable amount of lead allowed in a child care center. The water source identified is a small hand washing sink in the kitchen. The water source identified is not used for cooking or drinking. This sink has been put out of service. The facility has ordered a replacement sink.
Since the water source identified as exceeding the acceptable amount of lead has not been used for drinking or cooking, there are no deficiencies cited today for the lead exceedance.
