On 3/17/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Guirit met with Licensee, Margarita Solis for an unannounced required - 1 year inspection. Also present for today's inspection were 2 infants, 7 preschoolers, and licensee's fingerprint cleared daughter as her assistant. LPA reviewed six children's files and files are complete. The home was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection. Days and hours of operation are Mon - Fri, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The home was toured with licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. The home is two story. The ON LIMIT AREAS are the family room, living room, lower level restroom, classroom, and right side of the back yard. The remainder of home is OFF LIMITS which will be inaccessible by closed and or/locked doors, safety gates, and visual supervision. There are ample age appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. There is a pool to the left of the back yard that has a fence that is at least five feet surrounding it to make it inaccessible to children in care. All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of reach of children.

The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector, working telephone, and first aid supplies. There is centralized heating that is working and in good repair. Licensee states there are no firearms in the home. A portion of one of the on limits areas will be used as the isolation area for ill children. Licensee conducts fire/disaster drills every six months (last was on 03/03/22). Licensee's Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificates are current and expire May 2023. Licensee's Mandated Reporter training is current and must be renewed by 04/09/2023. Licensee's daughter/assistant has a complete file with current CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter training. Licensee provided a copy of child care roster to LPA for review.

Please see LIC 809 C for continuance.
