Present during today’s inspection was the licensee, her fingerprint cleared son, licensee's two minor children and licensee's two minor grandchildren. All children present currently live in the home. There were no children in care during the inspection.

The home was toured for Health and Safety Inspection. On limits area consist of the entire first floor except the garage. The entire second floor, garage and backyard are off limits to children. Off limits areas will be made inaccessible by use of gates, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. There are no pools, spas, hot tubs, or any other similar bodies of water at this home. There are no firearms on the premises as stated by the licensee. The fireplace is screened to prevent access by children. LPA verified that the fire extinguisher 3A40BC is fully charged. The home has a working smoke detector. There is a working telephone in the home. The home provides appropriate toys and earning materials. Licensee stated that the near by parks are used for outdoor play.

LPA conducted file review. The licensee has current CPR and First Aid which was completed 5/18/22. Licensee is in compliance with required immunizations for childcare providers.
Fire and disaster drills are conducted monthly.
COVID-19 safety precautions were discussed with licensee.

Although licensee currently does not care for infants, LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
