25 | On 2/20/2020 at 9:48AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Junell Chen arrived for an unannounced Annual/Random Inspection, and met with Licensees Kumudini and Rajesh Sharma. Present were three infants and ten preschoolers in care today. Also present during the inspection was fingerprint cleared assistant Shiv Sahota. The home was toured with the licensees to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for day care are Monday through Friday 8AM-6PM.
ON LIMITS: The family room to the immediate left upon entering home, living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and fenced backyard.
OFF LIMITS: The entire upstairs of the home and garage.
The home is a two story home, which are neat and clean, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The isolation area will be in the living room. There exists a fenced backyard for outdoor play. There were ample age appropriate toys that were observed to be safe and in good condition. Toxins, medicines, and hazardous items were inaccessible during today's inspection.
A fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors exist at the facility and meet State Fire Marshall standards. The fireplace is screened to prevent access by children. There exists a First Aid kit readily available. Per licensee, there exists central heating and heater vents are not hot to touch. Per licensee, there no firearms in the home. There is a pet dog in the home. Per licensee, there exists a working telephone number designated for the facility. All required licensing documents are posted and visible for public review. Mandated Reporter training was completed on 8/13/2018 for Kumudini and Rajesh Sharma. Licensees presented proof of immunization records as required by licensing. Safe Sleep practices were discussed. Licensee was reminded that children are never to be left in a parked vehicle.
