Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Petersen conducted an unannounced random annual site inspection for this infant care facility at 1120. LPA met with facility director, Vondenia Blackmore, and toured all areas licensed for use by children in care for a health and safety inspection. Also present at the time of this inspection were two additional teaching staff and five infants in care. Two of the staff present including the facility director are qualified infant teachers and one staff is an aid. The facility is within ratio and capacity. All adults present are background cleared and associated to this facility.

This program operates out of two rooms (Room 1 and 1a). Both rooms and the changing area were inspected. There is age appropriate furnishings and equipment in good repair including young infant sleeping equipment (cribs). There are five cribs present in the sleeping area and there was one crib age infant present in care today. Surfaces including floors and counter tops are free of hazards and toxins. There were no hazardous items/toxins observed to be accessible to children in care today.

There are fully charged fire extinguishers and a working carbon monoxide detector present. Per director the facility has not had a fire department inspection this year.

Infant formula/feedings that are provided by children's parents/guardians are individually stored and labeled as required. Formula/feeding bottles are sent home daily for cleaning. Cleaning supplies are not stored together with food items. Drinking water is observed to be available for children in care both indoors and outdoors.
