25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Caroline Colson met with Veronica Garcia and her husband, Jose Garcia for an unannounced random required inspection at 9:35 AM. Krystal Garcia. licensee's adult daughter, arrived at the facility at 10:18 AM. There are 8 preschool children and 4 infants present. One child's record was reviewed by the LPA and the licensee on 3/5/2020 at 10:24 AM. C1 has immunization records available in the file. Licensee has complete facility records. The home was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection.
The home is a one story home. The home consists of a living room, dinning room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, fenced carport, playroom, fenced back yard and fenced front yard. The off limit areas are the living room, dinning room, kitchen, all bedrooms, fenced back yard and fenced front yard. Mrs. Garcia will use her fenced carport for outdoor play. The home has a 3A40BC fire extinguisher and a working combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector. There is a large heating source which is screened located in the playroom, Mrs. Garcia states there are two firearms in the home. The ammunition and weapons are stored separately. There is a designated area for the isolation room within the playroom. She conducts fire/disaster drills every six months. Her infant CPR and First Aid certificates are current and expire on August 20, 2020. She has a first aid kit. There are two large dogs located in the back yard.
This facility is not providing Individual Medical Services - IMS at this time. LPA discussed IMS services and the requirement to create a plan of operation. Specifics on the plan can be found in the family child care home evaluator manual (FCCH EM) Policy 102417.
